- available mid 2006
- 3.2 FSI V6 Turbo
- 350 hp, 450 Nm torque
- 1560 kg (4,46 HP/Kilo)
- DSG transmission
- Haldex electronic power distribution between all wheels
- Top speed 250 km/h (expected unlimited 275 km/h)
- 235/40 18 inch tires
- no limit on production numbers (for exclusivity)

Also available as station wagon (Sportback, Avant): 10 cm longer.

Other new models info:
- S3 available in 2005, with 280 3.2 V6 FSI, without turbo.
- Next generation Allroad, available in beginning 2006, combination of Pikes
Peak and current Allroad. Will be built in the Touareg factory, will be 30
cm longer then Toureg.
- S8 in 2005 with 500 hp RS6 engine
- S6 will be produced.
- I noticed that according to two reports in the UK publications, Auto
Express and Autocar, that the next RS4 will not have the new 4.2 litre
naturally aspirated V8 FSI engine that has been much rumoured on this
website. Instead, they reckon it will have a turbocharged version of
existing 4.2 litre engine delivering approximately 420 bhp.

At least all the turbo-charger fansshould be delighted by this news, if its
true. Personally, I prefer the instananeous throttle response of a naturally
aspirated motor.

As I said elsewhere, the RS6 will not get the Gallardo's V10, because it
apparently cannot be packaged properly, but will get a turbocharged version
of the new V8 4.2 FSI delivering 500 bhp.

Does anyone know if this is true? (Nordeschliefe, you seem to have an inside
track on these things.)

This week's Autocar also has a feature on the RS3, which looks like it'll be
a very exciting sportscar. 3.2 litre FSI turbocharged to 350 bhp. 0-100 kph
in under 5.0 seconds top spped of 155 mph limited or 170 mph unlimited.

Mi sembra piuttosto improbabile che la RS3 possa pesare solo 1560kg, pesa tanto la normale 3.2 DSG, questa dubito peserà meno di 1650kg tra una cosa e l'altra.. Che poi, metà 2006... ma perchè devono sempre aspettare ad arrivare quasi a fine vita del modello per proporre la versione RS?

W la RS6 Avant, comunque :)
