8.  Why are some cars tested with certain safety features when others are not?
Euro NCAP policy is to test the best selling version of a car model with the safety features which it has as standard in all 15 EU member states or those member states into which the best selling version of the car is sold. If a manufacturer has optional equipment which is important for safety, they are allowed to pay for an additional test with the optional equipment. When rating the car Euro NCAP use the scores obtained by the 'standard' car in the tests.
 
16.  Won?t manufacturers just design their cars to pass Euro NCAP tests?
No, manufacturers have to design and test their cars to meet many more safety issues than are tested in the Euro NCAP tests. However they do use the NCAP proceures as an in house target/standard for those aspects that we test.
 
18.  Are manufacturers involved in the tests?
Each manufacturer is told of the choice of car, variant and options. Preferably vehicles for the tests are acquired anonymously but if this is not possible they are randomly selected. Manufacturers are asked to provide test set up information, to recommend child seats and to make any general comments. They are invited to witness the tests and to say whether they are satisfied with the way the test is run. After the test, they are given the test results and invited to comment on any anomalies when compared with their own data. 

22.  Can results be compared between groups?
Results should only be compared within the same group. The frontal testing method mirrors a crash between two similar sized cars. Clearly a bigger car has an advantage if it hits a smaller car and Euro NCAP results can?t be used to predict the outcome of such crashes

Direi che queste informazioni soddisfano i nostri dubbi...

...infatti la Panda Actual è la più venduta... mi fan ridere... e poi qualcuno ha il coraggio di lamentarsi dell'obiettività di Quattroruote...

Senza parlare della spia cinture della mercedes che e' attiva solo su alcuni mercati.... 

Hai dimenticato le frasi dopo "Con equipaggiamenti che sono Standard nei 15 paesi dell'UE"....potrebbe significare che in certi paesi (es. Grecia?Portogallo?) NON SONO DISPONIBILI il bags passeggero e laterali......

E cmq perchè non sfruttano l'opzione "è consentito ripetere il test con equipaggiamenti aggiuntivi pagando?"

addirittura? Ne sei sicuro? E dire che proprio la spia di "avviso mancato allacciamento cinture" era valsa la 5a stella alla Classe C, se non sbaglio... ma tu guarda...

Si, abbastanza sicuro, ne avevamo pure parlato piuttosto attivamente...

screeeeek... ma che c'entra? hai letto le statistiche in giro sui numeri di vendita ASSOLUTI della Panda? C'erano su Auto di qualche mese fa se non ricordo male...mi pare che la Dynamic 1.2 facesse più del 60% delle vendite, seguita dalla Emotion...se voglion la versione più venduta devon prendere la dynamic. Punto. Come han preso la C3 1.4 SX invece della 1.1 Entry, la Fiesta 1.4 Zetec invece della Ambiente, etc...

al di là di quello, la cosa che mi ha lasciato un po' perplesso era proprio il fatto che bastasse una lucina a dare una stella in più... (sulla classe C era mezza, ma il concetto non cambia)...

più che altro hanno testato la modus, la 307cc...etc etc senza essere ancora commercializzate...sono indovini?? o cosa??...

Erano solo congetture....

cmq il modo per far testare la versione voluta c'è....basta PAGARE (c'è pure scritto )...ma in via Nizza sono gli unici a non aver capito quale immenso ritorno di immagine (e vendite) sia un buon risultato all'Euro-NCAP....no...loro preferiscono continuare a strapagare quella dopata dell'Alessandra (tiè gobbo )

o forse giocano sull'auto dell'anno....... chissà.

Bah...mi pare che le vendite della Panda vadano a gonfie vele...dimostrazione che alla fine conta più il prodotto che quel che ci sta dietro

The body suffered minimal deformation at the screen level and at the footwell. The Modus uses dual stage airbags and double pre-tensioners with load limiters to control loads and restrict forward movement in a crash. These devices, and its stable structure, worked well, keeping impact forces low on the front occupants? chests and legs. There has been much design effort to safeguard the driver?s knees and upper legs.
The footwell suffered little deformation or intrusion.

La domanda sorge spontanea ? Ma come hanno posizionato il manichino sulla Panda ? Non risultano dalla descrizione cedimenti del sedile.

A me sorge invece spontanea la considerazione che non sono balle, la differenza è enorme, in foto. NOn è che la scocca della Panda si è deformata di più? Temo di sì.

Si però il manichino sembra posizionato con le ginocchia in bocca......è strano
