Toyota RiN Conceptvita serena e salutare su questa simil-golfcart.. sedili "ortopedici", condizionatore con livellatore di ossigeno (?), umidificatore, e uno sterzo che si adatta al tuo umore... Looking like a golf cart from the happy-acting society of Rollerball, Toyota also pulled the lid off their RiN concept car today. Designers intended this vehicle to exude "increased comfort" and "serene, healthy living." The green glass of the Toyota RiN combines with its beige coloring to somehow make the complexion of the vehicle's passengers look better, while generating an overall positive outlook on life, according to Toyota. The company also claims the vehicle makes the driver and passengers feel more harmonious with the environment, thanks to sliding doors and low windows that make you one with nature. The heated seats are about the only "normal" feature on the car, which also has an oxygen-level conditioner, pinpoint humidifier, and a "mood training" steering control that works with your psycholigical state to make you happier. The RiN makes you healthier too, with seats that promote good back posture, and ultravlot and infrared blocking glass. RiN's designers were inspired by the Yakusugi tree, a type of Japanese cypress that is rooted deep in the ground, while always growing ever higher. While it may be influenced by trees, it still seems more like a large, drivable Tamagotchi.

questo mi sta molto simpatico! mi ricorda un personaggio di "nemo" della walt disney ma non mi ricordo chi Toyota Hi-CT Concept to Debut in TokyoThe Hi-CT aims to offer a new "coolness" and new ways to have fun as a departure from conventional vehicles—an edgy, urban vehicle inspired by the thinking and lifestyles of youth. Offers a new kind of automotive "cool" and sense of enjoyment. Has a new look unconstrained by conventional vehicle size (length 3,330mm x width 1,695mm x height 1,780mm). Adopts plug-in hybrid technology, which allows it to charge from an external power source and gives it a greater driving range when running on its battery-powered motor; by placing the battery under the floor, achieves a highly efficient cabin with a higher driver position. Comes with an AC100V accessory socket that enables stored electricity—made possible by plug-in hybrid technology—to be used for a variety of applications. Features a removable rear trunk and a deck where surfboards, bicycles and other equipment can be loaded

molto bello questo, scenografico l'interno... Toyota's FT-MV Concept Toyota gave us an eye into their possible near-future, with the FT-MV concept car. Called a "first-class, new-generation minivan" by the company, this seems the most likely of Toyota's concept cars to enter production. With several ideas packed into this mini-van, like second-row seats with automatic ottomans. The van appears to seat six with each passenger in individual seats, as opposed to bench seating in the back. All rear passengers also have their own video monitors. Ambient mood lighting is used throughout the leather-clad interior. Meanwhile, the exterior has some distinct angles to it, but without looking completely unrealistic. Toyota is trying to position the FT-MV (Future Toyota Mini-Van) as an elegant vehicle you might be able to buy soon. Toyota's last mini-van concept, the F3R, was shown at Detroit in 2006. There are definite similarities between the two, but the FT-MV looks like a step closer towards production.

si!!! guarda questo, figata! Nissan NV200 Concept Van First Info Revealed Toolbox nature Functionality is the main motivator for buying and therefor designing a small van, leaving it more or less as a box on wheels. Nissan is looking to revolutionise the small van market with their NV200 Concept van where function becomes the aesthetic, but beauty still lies in the eye of the beholder. The NV200 tries to combine the functionality of a van with the comfort of a mobile office. The Nissan NV200 has been co-developed by Nissan Japan and UK offices with a specific target in mind, namely marine biologist Dr Alex Mustard's needs. The van uses a 2820 mm long wheelbase and is 1820 mm tall providing plenty of storage space. Nissan uses that space for a patented sliding cargo pod which extends from the rear. This pod has several storage units and allows for easy access when stationary. When the pod is 'out', the interior of the van can be turned into a mobile office. A panel / desk folds down from the side of the van revealing two lcd monitors, the accompanying laptop sits in a shockproof suitcase underneath. Working light comes from a long narrow window above the monitors and a skylight in the roof. The inside end of the pod provides room for hanging some clothes and a drop-down sink, fridge and first aid kit. The cabin is fitted with aluminium seats covered in washable contoured fabric also used in sport shoes, and offers large open storage spaces underneath the dashboard which light up when you reach down. Obviously Nissan could not mount a conventional rearview mirror, so Nissan instead mounted a small color TV monitor which is hooked up to a rear-facing camera normally used for parking guidance. The cockpit also features a skylight but with a wave pattern for diffused light. The interior is colored grey with acid yellow highlights while the exterior is also painted grey it has a non-scratch matt satin finish to resemble the 'toolbox' nature of the concept van. "We wanted to create a flexible toolbox for professionals," says Stephane Schwarz, design director of Nissan Design Europe. Leaves us to wonder just how much you can store in the van while on the move? After all, the pod needs to go somewhere too.

baby prius... non bastava la senior? Toyota's 1/X Concept Baby Prius With work well underway on the facelifted new Prius, Toyota will be exploring new avenues of green machines at this month's upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Among them will be this: the 'environmentally-considerate' 1/X Concept. Pronounced 1/Xth and meant to indicate its lightweight attributes through its name, the 1/X highlights the car's somewhat apparent weight-saving design enhancements by expressing its name as a fraction of the weight of its potential class-mates. Toyota compare their latest hybrid concept with that of the million unit-selling Prius and while a facelifted new model of the best-selling hybrid in history won't get a 1/X facial transplant, the next-generation Prius and a new model slotting beneath the present-day hybrid could - with its lightweight technologies likely to feature in some shape or form on future models. A baby Prius is rumoured for a 2010 entry in part of Toyota's strategy to meet annual sales targets of 1,000,000 hybrid units worldwide.

Nissan Round Box Concept to Debut at Tokyo Set to makes its world premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Nissan Round Box concept takes a new approach towards open-top motoring by creating an social environment which Nissan states was inspired by the atmosphere of a sports bar. Minus the huge TV monitors and flowing beer, the Round Box seeks to create a sense of togetherness through a shared open-top driving experience and enhanced communication through a centralized interactive “Play Catch” system. Using a large touch screen display both driver and passengers can access Internet and navigations services and then exchange information amongst each other. Equipped with a direct injection turbo engine with CVT transmission, the Round Box exterior combines the “wide open” look with a rugged lower body. Small glass panels called “road surface windows” located in the doors provide a motorcycle effect as passengers can view the road passing underneath. Undoubtedly, the Round Box which pulls its name from a mixture of flat and round curved surfaces throughout the interior is an interesting looking vehicle. However, the social angle of enjoyable mobility through enhanced communication and shared experience is a bit weak.

Lexus LF-Xh Concept to debut in TokyoAs excitement begins to build for the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, local big guns, Toyota, add to the mix by announcing today that they will be showcasing two concept vehicles under their Lexus luxury brand. Following the L-Finesse design philosophy, the LF-Xh specialty SUV concept is equipped with a V6 hybrid engine and all-wheel-drive. The exterior design is attractive particularly with the chiseled front end. However, the LF-Xh concept, which could represent the next-generation RX SUV, appears to be somewhat low-key. Perhaps Lexus is saving all of the crowd pleaser details for show time. The second concept is the much anticipated LF-A sports car. First unveiled in Detroit 2007 this latest version will show the LF-A with a more street-friendly appearance. As the first Japanese V10 supercar to finally give competition to the Europeans, hopefully, Lexus will also divulge some solid performance numbers. So far, we only know the LF-A will be 500+ hp with a top speed of approximately 200mph.
