carina questa Honda CR-Z Concept Debuts in TokyoHonda has released today initial info and photos for its' CR-Z (Compact Renaissance Zero) concept car to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in two weeks. Referred to as a next generation lightweight sports car, the CR-Z is clearly influenced by the compact front-wheel-drive sports car, CR-X (Civic Renaissance Model X), which was built from 1983 to 1991. Honda highlights futuristic design, sporty driving dynamics and hi-tech user interface as well as a small environmental footprint. However, Honda is putting additional emphasis on the design approach of the CR-Z as it seeks to challenge compact car stereotypes. Honda states in the press release, “CR-Z - an expression intended to capture the idea of a renaissance in the design of compact cars that begins anew from fundamentals. ” Honda is attempting to offset any negative “small car” vibes, which the original CR-X suffered, by emphasizing an interior which is open and spacious as opposed to claustrophobic and confined. This is achieved with the panoramic windshield, sun roof and lift gate which almost form a continuous sheet of glass. Combined with sporty driving dynamics and hybrid power plant the CR-Z sets to change the boring driving image of small hybrid cars. A CR-X successor has been much anticipated for many years and with Honda's excellent brand image, particularly in the U.S, the return of the CR-X couldn't be timed better as hybrid popularity continues to increase.

non male.. Toyota Corolla Rumion Launched (JA)New compact hatchback No, this is not the Scion xB but it is its sibling, the new Toyota Corolla Rumion. The boxy car will join the Corolla ranks in Japan starting today. Toyota is hoping to sell 3,500 units per month with prices starting at yen 1,680,000 (just over EURO 10,000 or USD 14,300) ranging all the way up to yen 2,310,000 (just under EURO 14,000 or USD 21,000). The simple, box-like styling (Toyota calls the stylign theme 'relax in style') creates a unique yet simple interior space with a very specific exterior presence. The scion xB is in its second generation in the States and is returning 'home' to win the hearts of the Japanese. The high beltline is meant to give the occupants a feeling of being surrounded by comfort. The Corolla Rumion is powered by either a 1.5-liter VVT-i engine or 1.8-liter Dual VVT-I (Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) engine. The 1.5 liter engine emits 143 g/km of CO2 (20% under Japanese regulations) and the 1.8 liter emits 151g/km of CO2 (beating national standards by 10%). You can expect all the usual safety features like SRS airbags, WIL (Whiplash Injury Lessening) front seats, an advanced GOA (Global Outstanding Assessment) collision-safety body, Eco Driving Indicator lights, Super CVT-i (Continuously Variable Transmission-intelligent) and Smart Entry & Start System among others.

mazda coupè, motore rotativo più grosso... niente immagini per ora Rotary News brings us advanced warning that a Japanese magazine has 'scooped' the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show plans of Mazda. First off, Mazda will bring the final concept of their flow series, following the Nagare, Ryuga, Senku, and Hakaze concepts. But the bigger news is that Mazda will be showcasing a new coupe concept! And it doesn't end there, the new Coupe Concept will be featuring a larger rotary engine, for the first time since 1974 the displacement will increase and has already been dubbed the RENESIS II. The new Mazda Rotary Coupe, as Rotary News calls it, will be the successor of the 1991 third generation RX-7 which went out of production in 2002 and is still considered to be Mazda's greatest engineering and design achievement. This concept is said to have a very distinctive design, at first glance it appears to have most in common with the Kabura concept, and will be Mazda's ultimate Zoom-Zoom sports car. Stay tuned for our coverage of the Tokyo Motor Show. ci metteranno un pizzico di turbo?
